IsoPlexis completes Series D round, raising $85M

IsoPlexis develops an end-to-end solution proteomics platform for curative medicine development. The IsoSpark platform is capable of evaluating the safety and efficacy of new therapeutics for chronic diseases and cancers. To-date, the company has raised approximately $154M in funding. Illumina, Qiagen, and Thermo Fisher are some of the key strategics in the molecular diagnostics market.

eVisit - a convenient telemedicine platform for patients and healthcare providers

The company combines multiple telehealth products under one platform. More than just a virtual office for physicians to consult their patients, eVisit offers virtual exam room resources, virtual prescription delivery, and submission of medical charts for medical reimbursement to payers. The company has raised an estimated $26M to-date. Key competitors in the telemedicine market include Doctor On Demand, MDLive and Teladoc Health.

Nēsos raises $16.5M in December venture round

The San Francisco startup is developing a neuromodulation device that delivers non-invasive electrical fields through wireless earbuds to treat neurological disorders. The company believes that electrical fields can “train” parts of the brain and restore the dysfunctional immune systems. Currently the device is being evaluated as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and joint pain. Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic are the leading strategics in the neuromodulation devices market.

Corinth MedTech is addressing unmet needs to treat the symptoms of urological diseases

The Veloxion System is an FDA-cleared, single-use resectoscope used to perform TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate). The company offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive capital equipment systems. Corinth has raised an estimated $17M to-date to support the development and commercialization of the Veloxion system. Key strategics in this market include Boston Scientific, Olympus, and Richard Wolf.

Kaia Health – digital therapeutics for chronic diseases

Kaia currently offers two solutions for musculoskeletal pain and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). Both solutions are based around education, daily training, and personalized plans for patients. Kaia Health has raised an estimated $48M in funding over five funding rounds. Other competitors in the digital therapeutics market include Biofourmis, Click Therapeutics and Pear Therapeutics.

Eli Health is a developing a point-of-care solution for the women’s health market

The company is developing a small, point-of-care device that measure hormone levels from a saliva sample. The platform will allow women to get daily hormone profiles for aspects of women’s health, including fertility, contraception, pregnancy, ovarian research, and menopause. Eli Health recently closed a seed round of funding in December 2020 for an undisclosed amount.
