Hi, I'm Carol Stafford, and I'm a client executive with Dassault Systèmes Life Sciences. In this role, I support small and mid-size medical device and diagnostic companies based here in Europe to get their product innovations to global markets, obviously using the company software and our services. So before I call up the first speaker, I have a short video and a couple of slides just to explain who we are and then how we've actually been supporting this community for, wow, over four decades now, and then why this experience really matters.

Going beyond to improve patient lives is who we are, empowered by scientific expertise and boldly innovative technologies, collapsing time and space to lessen patient burdens and transform life sciences. From AI data-fueled insights to advanced clinical research to engineering 3D virtual twin experiences to more sustainable manufacturing, all in one ecosystem where virtual becomes reality and where going beyond never ends.

Okay, so at Dassault Systèmes Life Sciences, we are compressing time and space into a single platform environment. The idea here is to really minimize the burden for all stakeholders in the ecosystem and transform the product development, the clinical trial, as well as the launch experience for all those stakeholders. So Dassault Systèmes actually started its journey over 40 years ago with computer-aided design and 3D modeling of medical devices. If there are engineers interacting with SolidWorks, then you already know who we are. In fact, over 50% of medical devices are developed using one of our products, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Samuel for virtual prototyping and simulation. So basically, we are providing the tools to engineer virtual twins and virtual twin experiences really on the cloud for either products, for processes, and even for the human body. We currently engage, for example, in the Living Heart Project, where we provide the collaboration platform and the software to develop an FDA-validated model of the living human heart. By providing this manufacturing, we also provide digital manufacturing and smart factories to meet those all-important sustainability goals. Then in 2019, we acquired a company called Medidata. For those of you who conduct clinical trials, you may be familiar with Rave EDC, which was the first and still the most preferred and widely used electronic data capture system in clinical trials. This year, we celebrated our 25th anniversary, having conducted 33,000 studies with over 10 million patients. We process over a billion images on the platform annually, and in May of this year, we were selected as the winner of the MedTech Breakthrough Clinical Trial Innovation Award for automatically integrating electronic health record data into our Rave EDC system for linking clinical trial data to real-world data, and then also leveraging AI to create virtual patients that we call simulants. Okay, but the reason we are actually here today is to help this community thrive. So just a few words on our MedTech Innovation Program. Basically, we have pricing aligned to the budgets for early-stage and small businesses. We really focus on accelerating study design, study startup, and study build, and obviously that is to meet your regulatory milestones. We also support strategic partnerships.
